Jobportal.fi Service User Profile Register

Data subjects

The register stores the following information:

– Employer representatives/contact persons who use the service for recruitment purposes
– Job seekers who use the service to find employment opportunities

Purpose of personal data processing

Personal data is processed when a person signs in to the Jobportal.fi service and creates a user profile as either a job seeker or an employer. Personal data is also processed when registered users submit job applications, create job postings, or choose to activate the job notification service through Jobportal.fi. Once activated, the job notification service provides job seekers with recommendations for relevant job opportunities. To provide this service, the data controller retains the user profile information stored within the platform.

Contents of the register

The register contains personal information entered by registered users in their job seeker profiles, as well as their Jobportal.fi account credentials. Registered users can modify their information in the service whenever needed.

Information collected from registered job seekers includes:

– Basic personal details required for identification (name, email address, phone number)
– Account login details (username and password)
– Technical user information generated by the system
– LinkedIn profile (optional)
– Portfolio (optional)
– Profile introduction (optional)

The register also includes company details submitted by employers. Information collected from employers includes:

– Company name
– Contact information of the employer’s Jobportal.fi account user (name, email address, phone number)
– Business registration number
– Company address (street, city, postal code)
– Account login details (username and password)
– Company description and website/URL address (optional)

Regular disclosure of data and recipients

When processing personal data, Jobportal may share information with selected third parties. These parties act as data processors under legally binding agreements with Jobportal and are only permitted to process data for the purposes defined and authorized by Jobportal. Data processors may only involve additional third parties in the processing activities with Jobportal’s approval. A job seeker logged into the service may submit applications containing their personal information to chosen employers. Once an application is submitted, a relationship similar to that between the controller and the registered user is established between the job seeker and the employer.

Transfer of personal data outside the EU or European Economic Area

We do not transfer any register data to locations outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (EEA).

Security measures for protecting the register

Protecting your personal data is a priority for us. Information stored in the Jobportal.fi service is collected and stored in the data controller’s system, which is secured with appropriate operating system security measures.

Access to the system is protected by requiring a username and password. Registered users can only access and manage their own personal information. The service is designed to ensure that job seeker data is only visible to employers who use the service and to whom the job seeker has submitted an application.

Storage and deletion of personal data

User data is generally stored in the system for as long as the user has an active registration with the service. After deleting an account, the data may still be retained for up to two years, for example, for marketing purposes. If an account has not been used for two years, the account credentials and profile information may be removed from the system. Job applications submitted by job seekers through Jobportal.fi are stored in employers’ systems according to the retention periods determined by each employer.

Your rights as a data subject

– The right to know whether your personal data is being processed
– The right to access your personal data or receive confirmation that no information about you is stored in the register
– The right to request correction or completion of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal data
– The right to request deletion of your personal data from the register without unnecessary delay
– The right to request restriction of processing or object to processing in situations permitted by law
– The right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your device.
